Title: Scott mistaken
The 2008 Scott catalog claims there were no cycling events in the 1904 Olympics, but Wikipedia includes a biography of Marcus Hurley that mentions him winning four golds and a bronze in 1904's cycling events.
http://www.sports-reference.com/olympics/summer/1904/CYC/ does mention some confusion over whether cycling should be included in the 1904 Olympics, due to (incorrect) suspicions that amateurs and professionals were competing together.
